Horrible affection

I feel so weird watching this thing walk… It’s a pitiful little creature with a funny style of walking, I bet it gets bullied cause it’s appearance. I’m having a hard time to articulate my feeling.

(By the way I love WordPress’s new embed feature, just paste the YouTube or Vimeo link to here and the clip gets embedded.)

Tablet mania.

Apple will, allegedly, launch their tablet computer today. Where they going to rip the need for me to get it? They’ll figure a way I’m sure. Maybe this puts an end to my everlasting pondering to get the Kindle or not. The idea behind Kindle is wonderful especially folks like me who lead an extremely nomadic life style. Books are best they just take space way too much. If you’d own an apartment and had a day job and wife etc. piling tons of books in your living room would not be a problem. But as for us moving five times a year it’s just not wise.

Why don’t I have Kindle yet? Maybe cause it does exactly the same as a book, it offers nothing new but the portability, and that’s not enough. Fake Steve sums it:

New technology spawns new ways to tell stories. That’s the really exciting thing here. Not the tablet itself, but what it means for news, for entertainment, for literature. Gasp. Geddit? Is the fucking light going off yet? This is what Anton Chekhov meant when he said that the medium is the message. This is why the Tablet is so profound.

There is no point in moving to digital readers if we’re just going to do what we did on paper. That’s why Kindle is such a piece of shit. All they did was pave the cowpath. And that’s why we’ve held back on our Tablet — not because the technology wasn’t ready, but because the content guys are such fucktards that they still can’t create anything that makes it worth putting the Tablet into the world.

Pekka Siitoin

Timo Pekka Olavi Siitoin (May 20, 1944 – December 8, 2003) was an occultist and a neo-nazi from Naantali, Finland.

Quit an eccentric fellow all in all one might say. The imagery surrounding him comes second to none!

Authority of money

Money it self, is an institution, it has a great authority, it’s something really big and powerful and everybody in their right mind should crave it. The ones that do not do that are seen somehow weird, dysfunctional, stupid and outrageous (enough adjectives?) human-beings. I think setting yourself above money is the greatest thing you can ever do. I don’t mean to be a monk in a monastery but just live careless life spending what you have.

Take the great song Santeria by Sublime. Even the song really being about “jealous ex-boyfriend pursuing to reclaim his ex-girlfriend from a man“, but also has a line: “I had a million dollars but I spent it all“. He is setting himself above the greate money.

I have this stupid fantasy of getting a lot of money really fast, like from a lotto or something. What if had 10 millions… Just giving that ten millions away to something good is even more exiting than trying to invest it and conserve it. I don’t know would I have the bottle to do that, I hope I would. And if so, by giving away ten millions I bet you would get most of it back, even in the purest attention of just giving something away (or especially then) you are still buying something. Well, that’s just one way of looking it, other is of course that with money you can do good stuff also, without money you can do jack but complain.

Yes, I’m really broke now, trying to find a way to live with that. Self help to you all!
